these are some thoughts..

I am a recent Seattle "transplant" living and loving life in the Pacific NW!

Marketing is my schtick and Music is my passion... therefore I chose Seattle!

My "glass is half full" and I am ready for what is in store.
Snowfall is here. And it’s supposed to be the biggest snowfall since the year I was born! Work in Seattle was put on hold due to the traffic. Now I get to stay snowed in and write, write, write music :)

25 years growing u in the Texas heat hasn’t prepared me much for the snow but luckily I found good friends that I’m going to enjoy it with.

Portland!

and it hit me…

… there is so much more of this place i can now call home that i haven’t explored yet!  so much more to see.

  to taste.

 to drink in..

to smell and remember…

starting now, i will journey out and get lost more. i will get loud. i will move more. i will dance in public and worry less, more.

i feel safe. i feel comfortable. i feel good in my surroundings. positivity is key.

goodnight and cheers,

                              RC

can’t stop loving this video… and the artist! ;)

how i feel…

so at this moment in time. Sunday, July 31st at 3:16am. I am truly in love with life. in love with the direction it is going. a fan of the accomplishments that are now ahead. the time is now and the time is here. i miss everyone reading this and miss my family and the things back home… but this feels right and feels good. i’m going to keep going as far as this can take me and see where i end up. goodnight and cheers!

Great news friends…
It took me a while but I FINALLY have a stable computer! I was deprived of digital connectivity early on in my adventure up here but that is all a thing of the past.
You could say I left my laptop back in that closet hehe
But now I have a fresh digital canvas that every part of my creativity will be able to use! From filming to music making to picture taking to book writing…
i. can. not. wait.
stay tuned friends!
ps: this pictue was taken on a wednesday night at Magnuson Park at 9:15pm ;)

my most recent update…

so it is currently tuesday. 6/28/11.

in 2 days and counting… i will finally have a place of my own.

no more couch surfing.

no more living in a closet..

i will have my own closet in my own room with my own tv and my own space in the greatest house we could have found with the coolest landlord

although this new found freedom that awaits me is amazing… i know i will still miss my {quote un quote} life in the closet. literally speaking hehe

go ahead. crack some jokes. have some laughs lol cause it is pretty funny. but i will literally be out of living in a closet since april.

and my days and nights of living in a closet inside the apt of my 2 new friends will be in the past.

i will miss staying up to the wee hours of the morning over conversation and laughs, on a small couch and broken chairs, turning off the tie-lamp {my bouquet of cheesecake ties hanging on the lamp} before i go sleep in my man cave of a closet, playing dominoes and skip-bo on that wine-stained table in the corner of the kitchen

i know i will still miss and look back and tell a story about living in that damn closet.

just as much as i miss staying in bainbridge island at my friend adriana’s parent’s house.

waking up to coffee and authentic german muesli {potential grammatical error}

staying up to the wee hours of the morning sipping on wine, watching my favorite movies on netflix, eating home-cooked meals of salmon and steaks, waking up to giant trees and nature that surrounded me.

so much has happened since i’ve moved here. it is crazy to think it is already the middle of the year.

so far… this adventure has been great

my everyday life has completely changed. my “normal routine” is not the same.

every single day i come across is an adventure.

and a new story…

july 1st can not come any sooner.

i will be settled in and ready to take on my creative projects, musical aspirations, and marketing ideas along with finish my way into the Wexley School For Girls.

i cannot wait.

viva 2011!

=D

“…and they took the long road back home”

“…and they took the long road back home”

My client wanted to bring some awareness to their DINO-sized production of Walking With Dinosaurs… they initially asked us to pass out fliers…. but instead… we asked for a little participation during the monthly ArtWalk event that happens the First Friday of every month.

We dumped the conventional ‘passing out fliers’ and had ArtWalk attendees get a little creative!

The end result: Hundreds of Facebook and Myspace default photos were set to our nifty “Dino-Roar” advertisement, along with added ticket sales! ;)
